COPE is a community mental health service offering support to adults aged 16 and older, with emotional and/or mental health concerns. COPE accepts referrals from a wide variety of community sources. Self-referrals are welcome, and our Downloadable Referral Form is available here: COPE and PCSP Referral.
Once a referral is processed, an assessment is completed to determine service initiation. There is no fee for COPE services.
Staff and trained volunteers facilitate support, coping skills, educational and social/recreational groups such as: depression, anxiety, stress management, losses, social recreation, and groups for caregivers and family members. COPE offers many Support Group opportunities across Durham Region. A list of Region-wide groups is available here: COPE Group Schedule
If you would like to receive more information about COPE Mental Health or access a support group, contact a Community Care Durham office nearest you.
